Job Description

Business Analyst

 Full-time     |     Agra / Noida     |     Mid–Senior Level     |     5+ Yrs Pharma Exp     |     MBA / B.Pharma

Agrosaf Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd is a fast-growing pharmaceutical and agrochemical company serving 20,000+ customers across 28 states, backed by the BM Group. We run a complex, multi-layered business — and we need someone who can see through the complexity and tell us what is really happening. The Business Analyst will be the analytical conscience of the organisation — the person who digs deeper than anyone asked, connects dots no one else noticed, and turns raw business data into decisions that move the company forward.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Business understanding & process mapping

  • Develop a thorough, ground-up understanding of how every function in Agrosaf operates — sales, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, HR, and distribution
  • Map existing business processes end-to-end, identify redundancies, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies without being asked
  • Go beyond the stated brief — proactively explore adjacent areas, related workflows, and upstream/downstream impacts
  • Conduct structured interviews with department heads, field teams, and operational staff to extract ground-level insight
  • Build a living document of how the company works — updated regularly and used as a reference for strategic decisions

Data analysis & insight generation

  • Collect, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources — sales MIS, ERP, field reports, market data, and financial statements
  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and correlations that are not visible in standard reports
  • Build dashboards and analytical models that give leadership real-time visibility into business performance
  • Translate raw data into clear, actionable narratives — not just charts, but what the charts mean and what to do next
  • Conduct ad-hoc deep dives into any business problem and present findings with confidence and structure

Pharma business & market intelligence

  • Monitor and analyse the pharmaceutical market — competitor activity, therapy area trends, pricing shifts, and regulatory developments
  • Track prescription data, secondary sales, retailer offtake, and stockist behaviour to identify early signals
  • Analyse territory-wise and product-wise performance across the sales force and benchmark against industry norms
  • Study IQVIA / AIOCD data and translate market intelligence into actionable sales and product strategy inputs
  • Maintain a structured competitive intelligence database updated on a monthly basis

Strategy support & business case development

  • Support senior leadership and department heads in building business cases for new initiatives, investments, and expansion
  • Analyse feasibility of new product launches, geographic expansions, partnerships, and operational changes
  • Prepare scenario models, sensitivity analyses, and financial projections to support decision-making
  • Attend leadership meetings, understand what decisions are being made, and proactively provide analytical support — even before being asked
  • Own the preparation of board presentations, business reviews, and strategic planning documents

Process improvement & initiative management

  • Identify process improvement opportunities across functions and own the implementation — not just the recommendation
  • Take initiative to solve problems that fall between departments or outside anyone's defined scope
  • Manage cross-functional improvement projects from problem definition to solution deployment and outcome tracking
  • Design SOPs and operational frameworks for new or improved processes and ensure adoption across teams
  • Follow up relentlessly on open action items, pending decisions, and stalled initiatives across the organisation

Reporting, MIS & performance monitoring

  • Design and maintain the organisation-wide MIS framework — ensuring every function has the right data at the right time
  • Build weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for leadership covering sales, operations, and finance
  • Monitor KPIs across all departments and flag deviations, underperformance, or risks proactively
  • Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel, Power BI, or other tools to improve speed and accuracy
  • Ensure data integrity across all systems — CRM, ERP, sales apps, and manual submissions

WHO YOU ARE

Inquisitive by nature

You don't just answer the question asked. You question the question. You want to understand why something works before you say whether it should.

Self-initiated, always

No one tells you what to analyse next. You've already spotted the gap, pulled the data, and drafted a recommendation before the meeting starts.

Pharma-fluent

You understand how a pharma business actually runs — field force, stockists, therapy areas, margins, and compliance. Data without context is noise.

Communicates with clarity

You can take a 10-sheet Excel analysis and explain what it means in 3 bullet points to a CMO or in plain language to a field manager.

Goes beyond the brief

When asked to analyse sales, you also flag a supply chain risk you noticed along the way. Staying in your lane is not your style.

Ownership mindset

You don't deliver reports and walk away. You stay in the room until the insight has been understood, debated, and acted upon.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MBA / B.Pharma / M.Pharma or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry — in a business analysis, sales analytics, strategy, or operations role
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own end-to-end analysis projects — from data collection to recommendation to implementation follow-through
  • Strong command of MS Excel — pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modelling are non-negotiable
  • Experience with MIS building, dashboard creation, and performance reporting across business functions
  • Working knowledge of pharma sales metrics — primary/secondary sales, market share, prescription data, and field force productivity
  • Proven ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities without losing the thread
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Agra; willingness to work out of Noida as required

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or any BI/data visualisation tool
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or similar) and CRM platforms used in pharma
  • Prior exposure to IQVIA / AIOCD market data platforms and pharma market intelligence tools
  • Experience in a pharma company that spans both manufacturing and marketing functions
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies — Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks
  • Comfort with SQL, Python, or any scripting language for data analysis is a meaningful differentiator

This is not a role where you will be given a dashboard to maintain and a report to send every Monday. You will build the dashboards. You will decide what goes in the report. And when you notice something no one asked you to look at — you will speak up. If you need a defined scope to feel productive, this is not the right fit. If you thrive when every business problem is fair game and your curiosity is your biggest asset — we want to hear from you.
